Veiled In Shadows

(This is the first eye picture I've ever really taken [other than when I was little and screwing around xD] so I was really proud of how this turned out)

I am so very excited about this piece I created. I spent hours upon hours trying to take a decent eye picture, and none of them seemed to be turning out the way I wanted.

At first, I was trying to put stars, planets, and such around the eye - and it looked pretty cool, but for some reason it just wasn't working. The expression in the eye, and the whole thing I just wasn't satisfied with. I spent hours creating the same thing over and over and was very disappointed.

I then decided to take some final pictures of my eye. It was when this picture was taken, that I knew I finally captured the expression I wanted. I opened it in Gimp and edited it a bit - and as I was putting the black cloudy stuff around the picture, I decided that was how I wanted to leave it be, instead of putting the stars and planets around it. The stars and planets weren't really my style and I think that's why I was being continuously disappointed all those hours. I was trying to make my art be something that I wasn't.

Anyway, I think this turned out quite lovely - I'm very proud of myself. I hope you all like it as much as I do Ohhhh I'm just so excited!
