I'm standing here as the rain pours down,
You're standing there – I can't hear a sound.
But my heart can hear what the ears cannot;
My fingers can dance what the lips forgot.
The clock ticks by as the seasons pass,
But time stands still through the looking glass.
On the other side is a perfect world,
Where the diamond lies among the pearls.
I cannot reach from where I stand,
We're both in rain, but in different lands.

I've been trying to write poetry that's not so completely obvious as to what it's about. Been trying for over a month now, and couldn't seem to do it - I'm just the kind of person who wears her heart on her sleeve I guess xD

However, last night I was laying in my bed and... I just kind of, wrote this.

I still think it's unfortunately pretty obvious what it means/is about (though it does have a ton of hidden meanings) but... it's not flat out cheesy like most of my stuff haha.

Anyways, hope you all enjoy :heart:
